Hi! I’ve set up a separate blog for my photography, so if you want to follow my art it would be a good one to add to your list! Follow here!
Sleep don’t visit, so I choke on sun, and the days blur into one
And the backs of my eyes hum with things I’ve never done
Sheets are swaying from an old clothesline
Like a row of captured ghosts over old dead grass
Was never much, but we’ve made the most
Ships are launching from my chest
Some have names but most do not
If you find one, please let me know what piece I’ve lost
Peel the scars from off my back
I don’t need them anymore
You can throw them out or keep them in your mason jars
I’ve come home
All my nightmares escape my head
Bar the door, please don’t let them in
You were never supposed to leave
Now my head’s splitting at the seams
And I don’t know if I can
Here, beneath my lungs
I feel your thumbs
Press into my skin again
Oh boy, I really struggled with this challenge. I’m not even sure if this is what I wanted, it was rather experimental. Anyway, as for the song, I just kind of drew what I felt from it. The main inspiration was the section of lyrics “All my nightmares escape my head…” That part gives me lots of John feels :> It makes me think of how he used to have nightmares about the war before he met Sherlock, and then he lost him, so naturally I think the nightmares probably started up again after that (head splitting at the seams).
Ok, I hope you guys like this, and I’m just glad I didn’t cave and decide to skip this challenge! I’m thinking of drawing a Sherlock to go with this…

For Let’s Draw Sherlock!
I am dedicating this to my best friend since childhood, who recently passed away very suddenly. She was excited about this project and was getting ready to show me her ideas but unfortunately I never got to see them. It’s because of her that I got into Sherlock, so this is for her.
